Altenmarkt- Zauchensee is centrally located within "Salzburger Sportwelt Amadé", offering a wide range of opportunities, both summer and winter, for an unforgettable vacation experience.

 

In Summer: 150 km of beautifully maintained and clearly marked hiking paths, close to the Tauern Golf Course, in- and outdoor tennis courts, squash, riding stables and indoor riding arenas, a broad network of bike paths and numerous mountain bike routes from easy to expert, fishing, summer mountain lifts and much more.

Skiing looks back on a long tradition here in Altenmarkt and Zauchensee, even at a time when the two villages were still sleepy and as yet undiscovered.  But the breadth and romance of the countryside still sirs up that pioneering spirit, especially when you glide down those untouched ski slopes in complete harmony with your natural setting. 

Since the old days, of course, Altenmarkt - Zauchensee has become a winter sports destination for all ages and generations due to its top infrastructure, superbly groomed slopes for skiers and boarders, secluded deep-snow hills, magical cross-country trails, convenient lifts, plus reliable snow conditions from December until the end of April.
